Sustainable stay

Because the environment concerns us all, Hôtel Nostromo is committed to sustainable tourism. You can consult our Environmental Policy at reception or on our website. During your stay, you can help us by adopting a few simple eco-gestures.

Preserving our water resources

  • We change your towels at your convenience: simply place the towels to be changed in the bath or on the floor.
  • We limit the number of times we change sheets (every 3 days) to reduce the amount of detergent we put into the water.
  • Remember to turn off the taps when you brush your teeth, and don’t leave the water running unnecessarily: a 5-minute shower uses 40 to 50 litres of water, and each additional minute uses 10 litres more!
  • Please only throw toilet paper in the toilets, as there are bins available. Cigarette butts, sanitary napkins and other rubbish interfere with the proper operation of the wastewater treatment plant.
  • Please report any leaks or other water-related problems to us.

Energy is our future: let’s save it!

As part of our environmental certification, we have signed a 100% renewable ‘green’ electricity contract. Did you know that the energy we use to produce our hot water also comes from a renewable source? The hotel is connected to the Paris heating network, which makes use of the energy produced by the incineration of the city’s waste. In your bedroom, adopt the right reflexes:

  • Use heating and air conditioning sparingly: it’s better for your health!
  • If you open the window, don’t forget to turn off the heating or air conditioning.
  • Please turn off the lights when you leave your room.

Pollution-free travel

Ask at the front desk for information on how to get around and explore the city on foot, by bike, scooter, electric car, or public transportation.

Let’s reduce our waste quickly

As far as possible, and in compliance with hygiene rules, we limit the use of single-use products and over-packaging. For example, we have done away with all disposable plastic bottles: instead, we offer you top-quality filtered water in glass bottles.
We sort our waste. You can help us by registering :

  • empty packaging, bottles and newspapers in the basket under the desk,
  • your non-recyclable waste in the bathroom bin,
  • your used batteries at reception.
