Ave Pizza Bar

Whilst there is a plethora of Neapolitan pizzerias in Paris, decent Roman counterparts are few and far between. So once you’ve tracked one down, you won’t let it go, even if it’s a bit off the beaten track, like this Ave Pizza Bar, tucked away in the hills of Ménilmontant. So here we have thin, crispy pizzas, in contrast to their Neapolitan counterparts, which are plump and soft. The Carbonella, which we ordered that weekend, was a real treat for the taste buds, as was the panna cotta with mango coulis and caramelised pecans, which we chose to round off the feast. To live up to the ‘bar’ in its name, the establishment offers food and cocktail pairings.
