An unusual religious building: built in the Neoclassical style; with no external cross or bell tower; and a nave oriented north-south rather than eastwards, unlike other churches. Don\u2019t forget to visit the public toilets in the basement \u2013 a real Art Nouveau gem. If you happen to be in the area at lunchtime, do pop into the Foyer de la Madeleine, a community-run restaurant promoting social solidarity, located beneath the church. You\u2019ll enjoy a very decent meal at a reasonable price, in a unique setting and for a good cause. Open Monday to Friday for lunch.
